Yesterday in drama class she tried to save a little lizard's life from her classmates. Twice she succeeded but third time they got it before she could intervene.
She yelled at her classmates asking how they would feel if they were out walking one day and someone decided they didnt like them and killed them off just like that.
Then she stopped classmates from bashing up the already dead lizard and sweeped it up and deposited it outside.
She did this while her teacher was trying to stop her from walking around in class. And when she was afraid too, esp when lizard didnt fall off the broom.
Theres courage here and compassion, and respect for the dead all rolled in.
Courage to fight for a voiceless creature, courage to stand up to classmates, courage to defy a teacher for what she felt was right
.compassion for the creature even if she herself is afraid
And felt the dead should not be disrespected, stepped in to get the lizard out even of dead.
She also did her performance ok. Dodnt let this affect her work!
Am truly humbled by her. My clear eyed gift from god. She is a great leader.
