The other night Ashwin was by the window . We heard an ambulance go by. I asked him to come in to brush his teeth or something equally mundane. He said "shh! You are disturbing me!"
I was like.. disturbing you! How? He's staring out of the window!
Then he says
"I'm praying for whoever needs the ambulance"
And i am speechless... again.
If i has stopped to pause and ponder i too may have worried about whoever needed the ambulance. But i heard it and did not pause- did not listen if you will. He reminds me to be aware and think and pray for others even if we don't know them. An ambulance is a sign of of distress for somebody. On the road we can get out of its way... not obstruct its path to help. At home... we can pray for those who need its support.
The call of the ambulance is a call for prayer
